Construction of 2nd CNC Router

I intended to build an MDF router first to serve as a prototype of building techniques, however, I found that I needed a larger flat surface to build it on. So, I started building the frame for my larger router before I finished my smaller router.

Here is a picture of the adjusters that I used to level the top of the frame given an unlevel floor.


I built the two sides separately, then joined the two sides with the top cross rails. Here is a picture of the process of squaring a corner prior to welding.
Note the use of a precision cast iron angle as a clamping fixture.


Here is a picture that shows what I was fighting against. I had to build the frame around the MDF router project.


This is the Z-axis mount plate on the MDF router.
